How to choose a gas vortex flowmeter?

The selection of vortex flowmeter mainly confirms the following parameter requirements:

1. Measurement medium for cavity bending.

. Turbine flowmeter is a type of velocity flowmeter that utilizes the principle of Karman vortex street. When the medium passes through the vortex generator, small vortices are formed behind it. The number of vortices can be converted into the flow velocity of the medium, which in turn can be converted into the flow rate of the medium. Its principle determines the type of measuring medium, which can be liquid, gas, or vapor. At present, the vast majority of industrial applications, such as nitrogen, compressed air, steam, thermal oil, etc., mostly use vortex flowmeters for measurement.

3、 Measurement accuracy. The accuracy of vortex flowmeter also has several levels, and it is classified according to the measuring medium. The pipeline type vortex flowmeter can achieve a measurement accuracy of 1.0 level for liquids and 1.5 level for gases. If it is an inserted vortex flowmeter, the accuracy can reach levels 1.5 and 2.5.

4、 Medium temperature. Generally speaking, it is divided into three ranges: room temperature, medium temperature,

and high temperature. The temperature ranges are -40 to 100 ℃ (normal temperature), 100 to 250 ℃ (medium temperature), and 100 to 320 ℃ (high temperature). If the temperature of the medium on site is higher, such as some superheated steam, an orifice flowmeter can be used for measurement.

5、 Nominal pressure. Mainly classified according to installation methods, the main demands in the market are as follows: flange clamping type (2.5MPa), flange connection type (1.0/1.6/2.5MPa), and plug-in installation type (1.6MPa/2.5MPa/4.0MPa).

6、 Power supply. According to the current market demand, there are mainly+12VDC (three wire pulse output),+24VDC (three wire pulse output type and two wire current output type) 3.6V lithium batteries, and dual power supply.

7、 Output signal. According to current market demand, there are mainly voltage frequency pulse output, two-wire 4-20mA output, and HART output. In addition, in some cases, Wu Bian may require digital output, and we can also provide RS485 communication via Modbus.
