1. What are the requirements for the installation of thermal mass flow meters?

The installation requirements for thermal gas mass flow meters include:

1. Whether the flow meter is installed vertically or horizontally with a rolling ridge, it should be kept in a horizontal state.

2. In places where unexpected gas shutdown is not allowed or will inevitably cause significant non replaceable losses, a bypass should be set up.

3. It should be confirmed that there is no strong magnetic field, strong electric field, or strong mechanical vibration near the flow meter.

4. The static grounding of the flow meter should be reliable, but it should not be shared with strong electrical grounding.

5. If the flow meter is installed outdoors, a sunshade should be added to prevent sun exposure.

6. Welding operations are prohibited in explosive environments. 7. The surrounding environment should be confirmed to have no corrosive effect on the aluminum alloy. 8. Ensure that the direction of gas flow is consistent with the direction of the arrow on the flowmeter. 9. There should be very few 10D straight pipe sections in front of the flowmeter, and very few 5D (D is the pipe diameter) straight pipe sections behind it. 10. For environments with special welding requirements, operations should be carried out in accordance with the relevant requirements for large blind spot welding. 11. It is prohibited to install flow meters at low points in the pipeline, otherwise water and other impurities may accumulate.

2. How to correctly install a mass flow meter

The following seven steps are required to correctly install a mass flow meter: (1) General points: There should be at least 0.6m distance

. Due to the dependence of sensors on electromagnetic fields, it is important to avoid installing sensors near large interfering electromagnetic fields. In addition, the installation location should be carefully selected to avoid vibration as much as possible. (2) Installation position for measuring liquids: The installation of sensors should ensure that the liquid is fully filled in the tube, in order to reduce the impact of density changes on measurement accuracy. When the process pipe needs to be cleaned, the installation position should ensure complete emptying of the liquid. To prevent gas accumulation inside the sensor, it should be avoided to install the sensor at the highest end of the pipeline system. (3) Installation position for gas measurement: To prevent liquid accumulation inside the sensor, it should be avoided to install at points in the pipeline. (4) Installation direction: The requirements of the process and the position of the already arranged process pipelines determine the installation direction of most sensors. Although the installation angle of the sensor does not affect the operation of the flowmeter, the following suggestions should be considered as much as possible: (a) When measuring liquids, the sensor housing should be installed facing downwards to avoid air accumulation in the flow tube; ----(b) When measuring gas, the sensor housing should be installed facing upwards to avoid condensation water from accumulating in the flow tube; ----(c) When measuring liquid slurry, the sensor should be installed vertically, like a flag, to avoid particles accumulating in the flow tube.
